TAI CHI (pronounced TIE-chee, sometimes spelled Taiji) and QIGONG (pronounced CHEE-gung, sometimes spelled Chi Kung) are ancient exercises from China. Tai Chi is the most popular and well known form of Qigong. Qigong, which is at least 5,000 years old, began as China’s original health care system and is the ancestor of what we know as Chinese medicine and Acupuncture today. Both are based on the observation, imitation, and embodiment of the principles of nature.
